Connect. Learn. Community.
Evaluation has been constructed over time to reflect what our society perceives as “mainstream.” As a field and profession, evaluation centers normative identities, problems, and solutions to the dominant narrative of merit and worth, which is rooted in white supremacy and colonialism. The identities, problems, and solutions from communities that don’t fit this mold are filtered and distilled to be palatable to the dominant culture of evaluation and maintain the status quo.
Removing these filters reveals a vibrant array of voices, representation, innovation, and knowledge that have not been given the space to shine.
The Minnesota Evaluation Association wants to normalize evaluation without filters. We want to encourage different voices and ideas to take up the space that they deserve –on their terms and through their own lenses. We want to gather in a space that values story, emotions, mistakes, non-linearity, and critical thinking toward liberation.
Join us at the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 for EVALUATION (UN)FILTERED. This registration is for the in-person event only. The option to participate in the plenary sessions virtually is available here.
The (un)conference will have ample space for gathering and sharing learning, reflection, and engagement around three themes:
Co-creation & Power-sharing. Inspiring, connecting, educational, perception-shifting.
Embodiment & Healing. Grounding, engaging all senses, integrative, holistic, playful, emotional release (laughter, crying, etc.).
Growth Mindset & Being the Change. Reflective, accountability, radical engagement, walking the talk.
