With a ‘small multiple data visualization,’ multiple, small vizzes are used to present data that would be too complex or overwhelm a single data display. Join Kirsten Rewey (Minnesota Department of Education) for an MNEA webinar to learn how to construct small multiples in Excel.

This webinar will include:

  • Defining small multiples
  • Pros/Cons of small multiples (when do they work, when do they NOT work)
  • Walk through how to make one
  • Showing some example small multiples online that use other formats, like bar charts and maps.

Dr. Kirsten Rewey is a Quantitative Analyst at the Minnesota Department of Education and spends most of her day playing with data.  With a background in textbook design and learner strategies and evaluation, Kirsten spends way too much time thinking about how to display complex numerical information to audiences who are self-avowed math- or data- “phobes.”

This is a free online event for MNEA members. Register as a member for free for a limited time! Webinar details will be sent in a reminder email one week prior to the event.
