Scope creep is a re-occurring challenge for most evaluators. What can we do to negotiate scope before a contract is created? What if a contract is in place but you need to negotiate the details of the scope? How might you renegotiate the scope at various points in the evaluation?

Please join the Minnesota Evaluation Association's Board member, Melissa Chapman Haynes, for a lunch event around the topic of negotiation (and renegotiation). A brief overview will be provided that highlights key negotiation terms and processes. Following a brief presentation, participants will engage in small group discussions about negotiation strategies. Participants will share their ideas, which will be compiled and shared with all participants after the event.

Project management is one of the competencies approved by the AEA Task Force, though it is rarely a skill that has been formally taught to practicing evaluators. MNEA is committed to providing opportunities for evaluators of all abilities to have opportunities for professional development around the competencies. This is the sixth event around project management. The lunch series focused on project management will continue throughout 2019.
