In the spirit of the Halloween season, let's discuss Surprises in evaluation over breakfast (or coffee or tea)! Join MNEA Board Members to talk about how to plan for, mitigate, or manage surprises and the tricks or treats of evaluation projects. Maira Rosas-Lee and Sarah Cohn will lead a presentation and discussion focused on situations involving surprises during evaluation projects. Whether surprise findings and unanticipated project outcomes or surprise requests for additional (or different) work mid-project, how to identify, discuss, plan for, and respond to surprises are skills and discussions that we all need to be able to have. We will share tricks and treats with each other on how to best navigate these surprise situations.
